What is the schedule for The Race Weekend?

Thursday, October 3rd - VIP Welcome Night Event - 6-9pm at Paschals Restaurant (180 Northside Dr. SW, Atlanta, GA 30313)

Friday, October 4th - The Race Expo, Packet Pick Up, & Meet & Greet  - 11am-7pm at Impact Event Center (2323 Sylvan Rd., East Point, GA 30344)

Saturday, October 5th - The Race Half Marathon + 5K - HM - 7:00am 5K 7:15am at Impact Event Center (2323 Sylvan, Rd., East Point, GA 30344)

Sunday, October 6th - Community Impact Service Projects - 8am-11am (Various Locations TBA)

Sunday, October 6th - The Race 2019 Impact + Elevate Wrap Up Party - 12noon-5pm at Monday Night Garage (933 Lee St. SW, Atlanta, GA30310)

Will there be race day registration and packet pick up? There will NOT be race day registration or packet pick up!

Online registration closes Tuesday, October 1st at 11am. Final registration opportunities will be on site at The Race Expo on Friday, October 4th 11am-5pm.  All participants will be required to pick up their packets at the Expo. Race Day registration and packet pick up will NOT be available. Yes, you can have someone pick up your packet for you. Please prepare them with your name, Wave + Bib#,  and registration confirmation information.

How Much is Registration?

Half Marathon





Transfers and category changes can only be performed at The Race Expo on Friday, October 4th 11am-5pm.

Registration payments will be handled between participants for transfers. There will be a $10 Transfer Fee due to The Race. Participant will pick up original bib, then report to the SOLUTIONS table to perform the transfer. Yes, someone can perform the transfer on your behalf. 

Category Changes

$70 Upgrade fee (5K to Half Marathon)

No Fee for downgrade - however must be completed before 5PM 

*Please note that running under another runners bib number or running the incorrect race is prohibited and unethical. Please help us to maintain the integrity of The Race results and safety protocols.

Can I defer my registration?

The Race does not offer deferrals to future events.

What is the parking and transportation situation?

Carpooling and Ride Share services are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.  New & Existing LYFT users can use code THERACEATL for ride credits on 10/4 + 10/5 to and from Impact Event Center . Parking for The Race: Impact Event Center has a large parking lot.  Overflow parking will be available in designated neighborhood lots and surrounding streets. 


Is there a cap on The Race?

Yes, the Half Marathon will sell out at 1100 registrations and the 5K will sell out at 800 registrations! 5K is SOLD OUT FOR 2019!!!

What is the course time limit?

The Race Half Marathon course will be open for 3.5 hours.

Is The Race USATF Certified? 

The Race Half Marathon (13.1) is a USATF Certified and AJC Peachtree Road Race Certified Course.

The Race 5K is NOT a certified course.

Is The Race stroller and dog friendly?

We do not recommend strollers and dogs for The Race 5K or Half Marathon.

Will there be pacers for The Race?

We will have pacers for The Race Half Marathon at the following pace times:

1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, 3:00, 3:15, and 3:30

What is The Race morning schedule?

Saturday, October 5th

5:30am - Parking, VIP, & Restrooms Open

6:00am -Pre-Race Program Begins

6:35am - Official Race Warm Up

6:40am -Corrals Open

6:45am - National Anthem

6:47am - The Race performed by The Queen Sheba

6:50am - Why the Red, Black, & Green

6:53am - Lift Every Voice & Sing

7:00am - The Race Half Marathon Start Waves

7:00am - RED WAVE

7:03am - BLACK WAVE

7:06am - GREEN WAVE

7:15am - The Race 5K Start Waves

7:15am - 5K WAVE 1

7:18am - 5K WAVE 1

*The Race VIP's can start in the WAVE  of their choice in their respective race.

**5K participants that start before the 7:15 official 5K start will be disqualified from the official results

***Ranking and age group awards will be based on chip-time.  Overall Ranking and awards will be based on gun time

Will there be photos?

The Race will be partnering with Sports In Motion Photography to provide FREE race photos as a gift to our participants. There will be photographers at the start, finish, and on the course, so SMILE!!!

What does VIP include?

Special Perks at the Welcome Night Event on Thursday, October 3rd

VIP Gift Bag

Race Day VIP Experience (food, massage, indoor restrooms, indoor seating, etc)

Those who purchased the VIP Package with their registration will receive their gift bag and wrist band at packet pick up on Friday, October 4th. Wrist bands MUST be worn throughout the duration of the weekend for access to VIP perks. Please do not share your wrist bands with non-VIP participants.  This will simply take away from the amazing amenities that our VIP participants have paid for. 


Will there be a medal for the Half and 5K?

Of course!! Half Marathoners get the BIG medal, but both will be dope! Check out The Race Medal Reveal HERE.

Can I join a team for The Race?

Yes, when you register for The Race, select your team affiliation from the dropdown of established teams during registration.  Please email info@theraceuc.com if you need to be added to a team after you have registered (after 9/15/19 retroactive additions are no longer available).

What are the awards categories and prize money for The Race?

Top Finisher Awards for Half Marathon and 5K (no double dipping) 

PRIZE MONEY FOR HALF MARATHON ONLY!  There is no prize money for the 5K. 

***Overall Ranking and awards will be based on gun time. Age group awards will be based on chip time.

What is The Unity Collective?  

The Unity Collective are the 750+ individuals, groups and businesses that supported The Race 2017 kickstarter campaign to make the vision for The Race 2018 a reality.  The kickstarter campaign was successfully completed on December 31, 2017 and those 750+ individuals are sealed in history as Legacy Backers of The Race!

Can I transfer my registration?

Yes. Transfers will be available online until October 1st at 12noon. After October 1st at 12noon, transfers must be performed at The Race Expo on October 4th from 11am-5pm. Original bib holder will pick up packet and then report to solutions desk to perform the transfer. Participants are NOT PERMITTED to run under another person's bib.  Please assure to race with integrity.


TRANSFERS & CATEGORY CHANGES: Updates to your registration (transfers, upgrades, downgrades, shirt size selection, contact information, etc.) can be done through your registration confirmation MY EVENTS portal on active.com until Oct. 1st at 12noon. General registration transfers will be charged the current price of registration, and original registrant will be refunded what they paid. Upgrades will be charged the difference of what was paid and the current price of the registration. There are no refunds for downgrades.

For person to person transfers:

  • Initiate the transfer from your MyEvents.active.com portal by logging in with the same username and password used to register for the event


  • Enter the email address of the new participant

  • Once they’ve completed their registration and paid the current price, the original participant will be refunded, minus any transfer fee

  • NOTE: If you were originally registered by someone else, you will need to login to MyEvents.active.com to claim your registration first, before transferring it

    • Use the registration ID number in the confirmation email you received to claim your registration


Transferring to another category:

  • Login to MyEvents.active.com with the same username and password used to register for the event

  • Select “CHANGE CATEGORY” and complete the required info
